Fredrick D. Pociask, PhD, PT, OCS, FAAOMPT
Fredrick D. Pociask completed his PhD in Instructional Technology at Wayne State University in 2004, and his BS and MS in Physical Therapy at Oakland University in 1990 and 1996, respectively. Dr. Pociask received his Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy Certification through the International Seminar of Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy in 1994 and completed his orthopedic residency training and received his Graduate Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through Oakland University in 1994. Dr. Pociask is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Care Sciences at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Pociask’s research interests include instructional technology research pertaining to the reduction of cognitive load in the design and teaching of complex instruction and the design of effective asynchronous web-based blended learning, as well as orthopedic interventions in the management of specific spinal and extremity disorders. Dr. Pociask has designed and developed commercial and open-source software, presented nationally and internationally, and is published in textbooks and peer-reviewed journals.

Christine Carlson, DPT, MA
Christine Carlson is an Assistant Professor in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.  She received her Baccalaureate of Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, her Master of Arts in Human Growth and Development from Wayne State University, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University, Omaha, NE. Dr. Carlson has twenty years of clinical practice and has extensive continued training with a focus on pediatrics and neurology. Dr. Carlson has taught numerous workshops relating to advanced neurological and pediatric practice at national and state levels. For many years, she has been an active participant in State and National Physical Therapy Association Activities and presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Education Section, APTA.

Tracey Fleck, MPT, OCS
Tracey Fleck is an instructional assistant in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she is an orthopedic laboratory instructor in the Physical Therapy Program. She received her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from Wayne State University in 2001 and has worked in outpatient orthopedic clinical practice since that time, with an emphasis in orthopedic spinal conditions. In her practice, she has been involved in clinical instruction, mentoring, and educational coordination. She became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in 2007 and is a contributing author of a published orthopedic physical therapy text.
