Medial Hamstring Tendon Localization and Essential Anatomy
With the patient positioned as pictured below, the distal tendons of the semitendinosus and semimembranous can be palpated in the medial popliteal fossa about 1-2 cm above the tibial femoral joint line. The tendons will look and feel like thick and rounded cords.
