A - D | E - H | I - L | M - P | Q - T | U - Z | Nystagmus: Pendular or jerky involuntary rapid movement of the eyes in the horizontal, vertical, or rotary planes of the eyeball. Horizontal nystagmus is described as being either "leftward" or "rightward" based on the direction of the fast component of the eye movement. Paralysis: Loss of the voluntary muscle control secondary to neurogenic injury or disease. Paresis: Incomplete paralysis. Paresthesia: A sensation that is often described as burning, prickling, or tingling and that is typically associated with a neurogenic disorder. Proprioception: The knowledge of the position of an extremity in space. Ptosis: Drooping of the upper eyelid |
